Darren Shaw, Co-founder of AngelTrack, identified a clear need within the angel investment landscape. He aimed to develop a single application that would allow Angel Investors to more effectively manage their diverse portfolios, track essential tax forms and shareholder documents, and crucially, ensure they did not miss vital deadlines for beneficial EIS & SEIS tax advantages often associated with investments. Furthermore, Darren recognised that accelerated startup growth depended on quicker and more regular contact between founders and their investor networks. He envisioned a platform that would facilitate this enhanced and consistent communication.

Decodifi commenced the project by reversing back from the application itself, dedicating time to thoroughly understand AngelTrack's core vision, the precise problems they aimed to solve, and the critical customer outcomes they needed to achieve. We then conducted multiple product workshops over a three-to-four-week period, rigorously testing our hypotheses with external parties. This iterative process directly informed the creation of wireframes for desired customer journeys and the app's overall structure.

Leveraging the Bubble no-code ecosystem, Decodifi rapidly developed a robust MVP that was ready for testing within just four weeks, achieving this on a budget of less than £15,000 and significantly reducing the time-to-market.

This agile approach allowed for swift iteration on the product as it moved into the hands of beta testers. The primary goal at this stage was to collaborate closely with users, integrating their feedback and insights to continually refine the application and attract a wider community of angel investors and founders. The platform successfully established a foundation for enhanced investment management and vital founder-investor communication.
